Why does Ingenext focus on battery reuse?

Since our first steps into the world of electrification, we've always reused batteries, motors and other components from electric vehicles. At first, we were seen as aliens - remember our electric Beetle?

It was very difficult to convince people that our business model was innovative and that it was a complementary solution to GHG reduction. Even with the governments of Quebec and Canada, the message was hard to get across, and there was a lot of reluctance. We persevered, and it's now 5 years since we started.... and times are beginning to change. Companies are now more inclined to use components from reuse, and there's greater social acceptability. 

An excellent environmental choice 

There's no doubt that the environmental impact is lower when batteries are reused. First of all, there's no extraction of raw materials like cobalt, lithium and so on. In fact, we're actually optimizing raw materials! By reusing batteries, we also save all the GSEs emitted during their production. 

Affordable batteries

Reused batteries are generally less expensive than new ones. There are a number of factors that affect the price, such as the battery's state of health, its history, its rarity, the warranty offered by the seller, etc. Some batteries are more popular than others, as is the case with Tesla Model 3/Y batteries, which are generally a little more expensive.

Reliable, safe batteries

 Reused electric vehicle batteries come from the best manufacturers in the world, and meet the highest standards. As a result, they are extremely reliable, safe and efficient. Wouldn't we be crazy to do without them? 

What can you do with these batteries?

These batteries can be used for vehicle conversions, as we used to do with baggage tractors. It's also very popular to convert vintage or passenger vehicles. If you like the idea, we have motor and battery controllers to help you with your projects. 

An emerging trend is energy storage using reused batteries from electric vehicles. Many companies are moving in this new direction. For our part, we are developing several systems, such as the cyber-battery and our Charging and power supply unit mobile. We can also develop customized systems according to our customers' needs.
