LET US INTRODUCE YOU TO OUR

TESLA MODEL 3 BATTERY & MOTOR CONTROLLER

from $1500

This controller has been specifically designed for the Tesla Model 3 rear motor & battery and is manufactured with automotive quality parts. It's completely waterproof. It allows the use of any used Model 3 motor with any battery between 300-400 volts. It can also be used to control only a Model 3 battery. The motor and the battery will have to be reprogrammed at our installation before delivery. If you have your own motor or battery, we will need to reprogram them remotely with the necessary equipment before installation in the vehicle (or other use) to be compatible with our controller.

DETAILS

Good to know

If you want to control a battery :

The 32A or 48A on-board charger (OBC) is functional and can be adjusted in amperage and percentage of charge.

The DCDC 12 is also functional and can be adjusted from 12-15V.

Several batteries can be connected in parallel for larger projects.

How does it work?

The Motor can be controlled in 2 different ways for the functions: DRIVE, REVERSE, PARK, CREEP and REGEN.

Method #1 : The first method is by CAN bus which will be provided with a CAN data base. This data base allows to receive live data like speed, power, regen, voltage, temperatures. It also allows the control of several limitations such as maximum power, regen by braking, traction control and more.

Method #2 : The second method is with digital inputs to control PRND, creep and regen with buttons. There are also outputs to turn on reverse and brake lights.

The battery can be controlled in 2 different ways for the functions: precharge/contact charging, drive/discharge.

Method #1 : The first method is by CAN bus which will be provided with a CAN data base. This data base allows to receive live data such as voltage, number of kWh available, percentage of charge, power in kW, current in/out, contactor state, 12V battery voltage, HV battery insulation, coolant flow request and more.

    • Method 2 : The second method is with digital inputs to control precharge and contact, charge or discharge mode with the use of buttons. There are also outputs to authorize discharge and charging.

The battery can be used with the original charge port and its computer for connecting to a level 1 or 2 charging station.

Installation

You can buy a complete set which includes the motor and the controller with all the necessary harnesses. Also available as an option: the rear subframe with suspension, axles and battery. If you already have your motor and/or battery and you only want our controller, you will have to buy about 500$ of equipment to reprogram the motor remotely. Be careful because you must have a high level of knowledge in electricity and electronics to be able to do it yourself.
